American Nevada Company Awarded Two NAIOP Spotlight Awards, Including Coveted 'Best Office Building' Award
=============================================================
March 18, 2010 (Henderson, NV) – The Southern Nevada chapter of NAIOP (National Association of Industrial and Office Properties) commercial real estate development association, has recognized American Nevada Company with two prestigious awards at the 13th Annual NAIOP Spotlight Awards on March 13 at the M Resort. The Spotlight Awards honor projects, individuals and companies for excellence in development and their significant contributions to the chapter, industry and community.
United States Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) is a leader in developing America's renewable energy sector and his commitment to the sector and to promoting investment in Nevada was instrumental to the decision to locate the new facility there. The wind turbine production and assembly plant will create over 1,000 high paying long-term jobs in Nevada and provide a major financial boost to the local and surrounding economies. The affordable real estate in Nevada and the proven track record of Nevada’s skilled workforce made Nevada the ideal location for the assembly and production plant. In addition to production and assembly at the new plant, most of the key wind turbine components will be made by domestic U.S. manufacturers. When A-Power selects a suitable site, it intends to arrange the financing of the costs of site acquisition and the construction and operation of the assembly facility from its own funds.
The newest building in American Nevada Company's commercial portfolio, 2360 Corporate Circle, received top honors in the categories of Best Office Building, and Best Four or More Story Office Building. 2360 Corporate Circle, a Suburban Class A four-story office building located in the prestigious 90-acre Green Valley Corporate Center at I-215 and Green Valley Parkway in Henderson, NV is also the first building in the State of Nevada to achieve a LEED® Gold certification for Core and Shell construction by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System.
"We are quite honored that 2360 Corporate Circle has been recognized by our peers as an exceptional building in Southern Nevada" says Ed Schiel, sr. vice president of ANC’s commercial division. "We are proud of this accomplishment and believe it demonstrates our continued commitment to performing at the very highest level".

THE U.S. RENEWABLE ENERGY GROUP, A-POWER ENERGY GENERATION SYSTEMS, LTD & AMERICAN NEVADA GROUP TO DEVELOP A WIND TURBINE PRODUCTION AND ASSEMBLY PLANT EXPECTED TO CREATE MORE THAN 1,000 JOBS IN NEVADA
=============================================================
Washington, DC -- The U.S. Renewable Energy Group (US-REG), A-Power Energy Generation Systems, Ltd. (NASDAQ: APWR or A-Power), and American Nevada Group (ANC) today announced the development and construction of a new production and assembly plant in Nevada that will supply highly advanced wind energy turbines to renewable energy projects throughout North and South America. The state-of-the-art facility will be approximately 320,000 square feet with annual production capacity of 1,100 megawatts of wind energy turbines annually, enough to power 330,000 homes. The facility is expected to employ approximately 1,000 Nevada workers and create even more jobs during the construction process. ANC will identify potential sites for the facility and will develop the facility for the group.
United States Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) is a leader in developing America’s renewable energy sector and his commitment to the sector and to promoting investment in Nevada was instrumental to the decision to locate the new facility there.
"Senate Majority Leader Reid’s vision for the development of clean energy industries in his home state, Nevada’s position relative to the major wind corridors, and the strength and sophistication of Nevada’s skilled workforce made Nevada the best option for our headquarters and assembly plant for North and South America,” said Mr. Jinxiang Lu, CEO and Chairman of A-Power.
"When Senator Reid found out US-REG and A-Power wanted to build a wind turbine manufacturing plant in the United States, he told us that Nevada was poised to be at the epicenter of America’s commitment to renewable energy technology,” said Ed Cunningham, US-REG Managing Partner. "Add to that Nevada’s business-friendly climate, we felt that Nevada would be the ideal place to invest in this manufacturing hub. This multi-million dollar investment in Nevada will further advance the Senate Majority Leader’s clean energy initiatives while allowing out of work Nevadans to re-enter the work force in high-paying, stable, green jobs.”
"We are committed to clean energy development and this partnership, which will allow us to expand our presence in the American renewable energy sector and create over a thousand jobs in Nevada,” said John Lin, A-Power’s Director and COO. "A-Power highly values the opportunities in renewable energy in America and this state-of-the-art facility will be our first major manufacturing plant in the United States."

Class-A Office Building in Green Valley Corporate Center Awarded LEED® Gold Certification
=============================================================
June 18, 2009 (Henderson, NV) -- The newest building in American Nevada Company’s commercial portfolio has achieved a GOLD rating by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System™. The LEED rating system is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality.
2360 Corporate Circle, a Suburban Class A four-story office building located in the prestigious 90-acre Green Valley Corporate Center at I-215 and Green Valley Parkway in Henderson, NV is the first building in the State of Nevada to achieve a LEED Gold certification for Core and Shell construction.
Some of the ‘green’ elements of the building include:
Water and Energy Efficiency. The building’s landscaping requires 94% less water due to an efficient drip irrigation system, and the use of drought tolerant plants that require less water. The restrooms will use 43% less water due to low-flow fixtures and faucets. These strategies will save approximately 1,474,000 gallons of water a year. On the roof of the building and parking garage, the ‘heat island effect’ reflects sunlight, rather than absorbing it. In all, the building is expected to use almost 17% less energy than a typical new code compliant building.
Indoor Environmental Quality. The interior of the building was constructed using specialized materials including low-emitting adhesives, sealants, paints and carpet systems. Daily cleaning of the building utilizes materials and processes that are friendly to the environment and people. These practices, in addition to highly effective filters throughout the building, help provide superior air quality.
Renewable Energy. The building’s solar photovoltaic panels on the parking garage roof generate enough electricity to illuminate the lights in the parking garage. Additionally, American Nevada Company has purchased green E-certified energy credits for the building which helps reduce dependency on fossil fuels, promotes clean air and fights global climate change.
Construction. Construction of the building utilized more than 33% of recycled content, and more than 80% of construction waste was recycled.
"We could not be happier that the newest building in our portfolio is among a very short list of projects in our state to achieve this high rating” said Bruce Deifik, president and chief operating officer of The Greenspun Corporation, and president and chief executive officer of American Nevada Company, the developer of the building. "Our commitment to develop commercial products, as well as residential master-planned communities in a responsible, environmentally-friendly manner has not waivered, and with the Gold rating of our new building, we have raised the bar not only for ourselves, but for other developers in the valley, as well."
In addition to its environmentally friendly elements, the building features a dramatic two-story atrium at the main entry with a clear glass curtain wall, an on-site file storage area located on the first floor, and an attached parking structure that will provide over 80% covered parking to the building. Punched window openings on the north side of the building create multiple corner offices, which maximize the views of the Las Vegas valley. While the building is more than 75% occupied, there are a handful of prime suites still available, including a first floor, off lobby location.

opening in September 2005, patient visits to NVCI have totaled 125,000,
well surpassing the predicted numbers initially set forth by the
Institute.
“Nevada Cancer Institute could not have made the great strides
in cancer research, care and education around the state that it
has in two short years without the overwhelming support we have
received from the community,” said Heather Murren, NVCI co-founder,
chairman, and chief executive officer. “Our expansion allows
us to continue pushing the envelope in innovative oncology care
and research for the residents of Nevada.”
The new building will house a number of services and functions,

American Nevada Company, and the contractor is the Korte Company.
NVCI’s One Breakthrough Way (OBW) reached 90 percent capacity
at the end of the summer. The Charleston office space is at 100
percent capacity.
“An expansion is needed to keep pace with growth, both in
terms of patients, support staff and medical staff,” said
Sandra Murdock, F.A.C.H.E., Dr.P.H., president and chief operating
officer. “We will continue to grow as we work toward becoming
a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center
and Nevada Cancer Institute becomes one of the premier clinical
and research cancer centers.”
NVCI’s original 142,000-square-foot building opened September
23, 2005. The four-level building (one level is below ground) has
two wings and is dedicated to patient care, research and education.
The building, built by Marnell Corrao, was constructed to be a one-stop
resource for cancer resources, care and information. Housed in NVCI’s
flagship building are medical oncology, a radiation oncology suite,
pathology lab, research laboratories, a 24-seat chemotherapy suite,
complete and digital diagnostic imaging suite (MRI, PET-CT scan,
mammography, etc), an Information and Resource Center that is open
to the public and has affiliate membership in the National Network

The center includes retail merchants, financial institutions, a
service station and a food court with an oversized outdoor dining
plaza. The center is designed in a modern style that incorporates
a palette of warm desert colors accented with stone finishes and
is interspersed with stone towers having bands of split-face block.
Long shaded arcades provide pedestrian comfort.
Aliante Corporate Center features three planned, identical two-story
office buildings in a 6.54-acre office park site near the southeast
corner of I-215 and Aliante Parkway. The first two of these buildings
have recently been completed at 2570 and 2590 Nature Park Drive
and each offers 27,725 square-feet of office space. Aliante Corporate
Center is located just north of the community’s 20-acre Nature
Discovery Park and adjacent to the Aliante Information Gallery.
Aliante Medical Center, a 54,400 square foot medical office building,
is in the planning stages. JMA Architecture Studios is the architect
and Martin Harris Construction is the general contractor. The building
is planned to accommodate a variety of medical services including
urgent care, outpatient surgery, diagnostic imaging, women’s
care, physical therapy and physician offices. A freestanding CVS
Pharmacy will be located adjacent to the medical center.
These new developments, located just off I-215 and Aliante Parkway,
will be a great asset to residents of Aliante and the surrounding
area. They will also provide businesses with an opportunity to establish
positions in a highly desirable and rapidly growing area.
